In May 2026, she will take on an incredible challenge, running and cycling approximately 400 miles from Newcastle to London, to raise awareness and funds for Trauma Research UK.

Amy-Jo now uses her voice to encourage and share the message that recovery is possible. Her warmth and commitment to supporting others make her a valued ambassador and an inspiring part of the Trauma Research UK community.

Lee Brennan

Lee Brennan is a long-time supporter and proud ambassador of Trauma Research UK. As the lead singer of the 1990s pop band 911, Lee has used his public platform to raise awareness for mental health and promote hope. Today, he brings that same energy and kindness to support those affected by trauma, anxiety and emotional hardship.

Lee’s own life story is a testament to resilience. As a child and again in his teens, he battled Hodgkin’s lymphoma, surviving cancer not once, but twice. Despite the long road to recovery, Lee emerged with a renewed appreciation of life and a strong belief in second chances. His survival and positive outlook embody the core values of overcoming adversity, rebuilding hope, and supporting others in times of darkness.

Through his involvement, Lee reinforces Trauma Research UK’s message that recovery from trauma, whether physical, emotional or mental, is possible. He uses his platform to inspire and highlight that healing and self‑acceptance are achievable. His journey offers real hope that, even after major challenges, life can not only continue but flourish.

Tim Shaw

Tim is perhaps best known for his role in “Car SOS” on National Geographic, Disney+ and Channel 4 in the UK, which stands as their highest-rated show. Currently filming its thirteenth season, the series showcases Tim’s expertise and empathy in handling emotional and often traumatic conversations in each episode.

Before his television success, Tim spent 15 years presenting primetime speech-driven shows on numerous major commercial radio stations in the UK. His skills in interviewing earned him over 14 global radio awards, including the prestigious ‘Sony Radio Entertainment Award.’

Transitioning to television almost two decades ago, Tim has hosted various programs such as Channel 4’s primetime series, ‘Extreme Male Beauty,’ Channel 5’s motoring shows ‘Fifth Gear’ and ‘The Cars That Made Britain Great,’ as well as Channel 4’s ‘Experimental.’ His international ventures include presenting National Geographic’s ‘None of the Above’ (also known as ‘Street Genius’) and the one-off documentary ‘Tim Shaw’s Engineering Adventure.’ Additionally, he presented two series of ‘The Great Model Railway Challenge’ on Channel 5 last year.

Beyond his television career, Tim’s primary passion lies in product design and mechanical engineering. At the age of 16, he earned the Young Engineer of the Year award for inventing a collapsible rolling walking aid for the elderly, a creation that went on to sell tens of millions worldwide. Notably, Tim never profited from his invention, emphasising that money was never the drive, but the reward comes from helping people improve the quality of their lives.
